A POS built for a fresh produce counter.
Sell by weight, keep track of fresh stock, and take EBT and eWIC from your regular shoppers. One system, set up by CDI.

Why this is different
Selling fresh produce is its own kind of business.
Almost everything is sold by weight, none of it lasts long, and many of your shoppers pay with EBT or eWIC. A register built for packaged goods will fight you all day.
Almost everything sold by weight
Fruit and vegetables do not come with a price on them. The register has to weigh and price them at the counter, quickly and correctly, every time.
Stock that does not last
Fresh produce is money on a clock. Seeing what is selling, while you can still sell it, is what keeps it off the compost pile.
EBT and eWIC shoppers
Fruits and vegetables qualify for both SNAP and eWIC. Shoppers who use those benefits come back to the store where their card works.
Prices that move with the season
What you pay and charge changes week to week. You need to change a price fast, without hunting through menus.
Weighed items
Weigh and price at the counter without slowing the line.
A produce counter is almost all weighed sales. How it is set up depends on the scales you already have, which is why CDI goes through it with you instead of just sending a box.
- Tell us which scales you already use. That changes the setup.
- Ring up weighed and priced items in the same sale.
- Change a price in seconds when the market moves.
Weighed items are where a produce register works or fails, and every store's scales are different. This part is worth a phone call. Call 303-273-5800.
Benefits shoppers
Take EBT and eWIC, and keep a weekly customer.
Fruits and vegetables are exactly what SNAP and eWIC are meant to buy. For a produce market that means regular weekly shoppers, not one-time sales, and they choose the store where their benefits work.
EBT and SNAP
Approved produce rings up together with everything else in the sale. CDI fills in the government application and gets you approved.
eWIC for fruits and vegetables
eWIC has a benefit set aside just for fresh produce. Many stores do not handle it well. The one that does gets those shoppers every week.
Full details on how approval works are on our EBT and eWIC page.
Only from CDI
Give people another reason to come in.
CDI sells both NRS and Boss Revolution. So one company sets up your register and your phone and money services. That means international calls, phone top-ups, and e-gifts, all from the same machine.
Your customers pay in cash and you earn money on each one. See the Boss Revolution page to learn more.
Card payments
Keep more of every sale.
Card fees take a slice of every sale. CDI sets up your card payments through NRS Credit Card Processing. Send us your current statement and we will beat the rate you pay now.
The $199 bundle
The register equipment and card payments together, with no contract. Your customers pay the card fee.
Or a cash discount program
Would you rather your customers see one price? Cash Discount is the other way to do it. We will explain which one fits your store.
Questions
Common questions from store owners.
How long does it take to get set up?
CDI takes care of the application, the equipment, and the setup. Call 303-273-5800 and we will tell you what your store needs and what happens next. There is no charge to ask.
Do I have to sign a long contract?
No. There is no contract. We do it that way on purpose, so you can leave if the system is not working for you.
Can it weigh produce and take EBT?
Yes. It weighs and prices items at the counter and accepts EBT and eWIC for fruits and vegetables. Tell us which scales you have when you call and CDI will set it up with you.
Do you support Spanish-speaking staff and customers?
Yes. Se habla español — you can speak to us in Spanish, and this site is available in Spanish too.
