A POS that keeps up with a busy grocery store.
Items sold by weight, fresh food, EBT and eWIC customers, and thousands of products. All handled at the register, set up by CDI.

Why this is different
A grocery store is really several shops in one.
Dry goods, fresh food, and the deli counter all work differently, but they share one register. Most retail systems are not built for that.
Items sold by weight
Produce, meat, and deli items do not come with a price on them. The price has to be worked out at the counter, correctly, every time.
Food that goes bad
Fresh food is money you have already paid for. Seeing what is selling, while you can still sell it, is what keeps you from throwing it away.
EBT and eWIC customers
People with EBT spend most of it on groceries. eWIC has strict rules about which items qualify, and many stores avoid it for that reason.
Sections that sell differently
Dry goods, chilled, frozen, and fresh food all sell at different speeds. One long list of products stops being useful very quickly.
Weighed items
Get the counter right first.
Items sold by weight are where a grocery register works or fails. How it is set up depends on the scales you already have. That is why CDI goes through it with you instead of just sending you a box.
- Tell us which scales you already have. That changes how we set it up.
- We match the setup to the way your store is laid out.
- Setup and staff training are included, not extra.
This part is worth a phone call instead of a web form. Every grocery store is laid out differently, and the setup should match yours. Call 303-273-5800.
Benefits shoppers
EBT and eWIC customers come back every week.
Most EBT money is spent on groceries, and it is spent on a regular weekly schedule. For an independent grocer that is not an occasional sale. It is the same customer coming back, and they choose the store where their card works.
EBT and SNAP
Approved items ring up together with everything else. CDI fills in the government application and gets you approved.
eWIC
eWIC has stricter rules about which items qualify, so fewer stores accept it. If you handle it well you get the whole weekly shop instead of part of it.
Full details on how approval works are on our EBT and eWIC page.
Only from CDI
Give people another reason to come in.
CDI sells both NRS and Boss Revolution. So one company sets up your register and your phone and money services. That means international calls, phone top-ups, and e-gifts, all from the same machine.
Your customers pay in cash and you earn money on each one. See the Boss Revolution page to learn more.
Card payments
Keep more of every sale.
Grocery margins are small, so card fees matter on every sale. CDI sets up your card payments through NRS Credit Card Processing. Send us your current statement and we will beat the rate you pay now.
The $199 bundle
The register equipment and card payments together, with no contract. Your customers pay the card fee.
Or a cash discount program
Would you rather your customers see one price? Cash Discount is the other way to do it. We will explain which one fits your store.
Questions
Common questions from store owners.
How long does it take to get set up?
CDI takes care of the application, the equipment, and the setup. Call 303-273-5800 and we will tell you what your store needs and what happens next. There is no charge to ask.
Do I have to sign a long contract?
No. There is no contract. We do it that way on purpose, so you can leave if the system is not working for you.
Can you work with the scales I already have?
Tell us which scales you have when you call. The setup depends on your equipment, and CDI will go through it with you before you order anything.
Do you support Spanish-speaking staff and customers?
Yes. Se habla español — you can speak to us in Spanish, and this site is available in Spanish too.
