Robert M. Dieter, Partner

Robert Dieter is the driving force of Communications Distributors, LLC – overseeing sales and marketing as well as operations.

Dieter’s experience in the telecommunications industry stems back to the early ‘90s, when he helped launch the Telecom Group, a company that specialized in developing, managing and distributing prepaid phone cards.   During his tenure with Telecom Group, he was instrumental in increasing sales from $8 million to $40 million annually, and growing the retail customer base from 800 to 3,500 retail locations.

After the sale of Telecom Group, Dieter launched Communications Distributors LLC and shifted focus to the wholesale carrier space – working to provide prepaid telecom companies and other businesses with efficient, cost-effective solutions for call origination and termination.

Dieter, who lives by a “Work Hard, Play Hard” philosophy, is passionate about providing the best service available to his clients.  He is also passionate about outdoor sports– particularly mountain biking and road biking, which he does on a competitive basis –and about spending time with his wife and two sons.
Prior to telecommunications, Dieter worked for Computer Sciences Corp. and a leading CPA firm.  He holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Maryland and has taken numerous courses in information systems.
